Model Watch: Carmen Dell'orefice

Now, I bet you wish she was your grandmama! I sure do.... Carmen Dell'orefice is the oldest working model till date, with a 65 year old long career and currently at the age of 80- she has made a great impact in the fashion world as a supermodel till date. Currently, signed by Models1 agency, Dell'orefice has graced the covers of Vogue several times in her career being the first time ever when she was just 13 years old.

Since then her career has gone from height to height regularly modelling for Rolex, and appearing in Harpers Bazaar and W, magazine.

So how does she continue to look so beautiful? Well, she is still a lovely US size 8/ UK size 10 and 5ft 10. She confirmed in an interview with the BBC News that she stays looking and feeling healthy by sleeping early, and being raised by Italian parents, meant a lot of healthy food like vegetables and salad. She loves to swim, and as a child done ballet and gymnastics so from an early age, she trained herself to care for her body and figure.

Carmen is well known for her grace and elegance and lady like manner, her fellow colleagues find her to be a wonderful person, kind, full of character and in love with life. I am particularly drawn to her beauty- her skin looks radiant,  as well as those distinctive high cheekbones, her natural pout is so daring! And those eyes..... mesmerising.
She is honoured in the industry and although she has faced discrimination because of her age, she is one of her kind.

Max Factor have been very busy as they also launch 18 new shades called the 'Brooklyn Collection' this time filled with the traditional brights of Spring and Summer time colours. These new pastel colours are a change to the more intensified nail colours we are used to, giving off a fresher and calmer feel for spring. The colours are available in Max Factors miniature size and the subtleness of the collection enables you to match up with a variety of different eyeshadow colours, lip colours and even matching up with clothing.
Availability of the new collection can be found at Boots for just £3.99

Nail Trends: Milan Inspired Max Factor Spring 2012 collectio

Max Factor have a new nail colour range for Spring 2012. Metallics are definitely in for the spring season and the range hosts 5 different shades of metallics all priced for £3.99 each. I would have expected a little bit more of a springy feel to the colour selection, the colours are rather on the 'midnight' side and personally I am definitely one for the bright, fresh yellows, oranges and pinks for the upcoming S/S season. If I were to purchase this collection, I would definitely reserve it for A/W! (clockwise from top left) Moon Dust, Odyssey Blue, Graffiti, Meteorite and Fantasy Fire. The collection is available at your local Boots store.

Product Love: Hakuhodo USA

The best brushes you will ever find are the Hakuhodo brushes. These japenese makeup brushes are the best quality made by hand and with the most quality hair and wooden handles in the world. They have about 400 different brush types out of the collection. You know what.... these brushes are so wonderful, there is not much I can say about them! I am just simply in love.
The prices are rather dear- but I can't expect it to be cheap considering the brushes are made with so much love... They are just simply beautiful...

Behind the scenes: Premier Models for Vogue Italia

When I see high fashion models, I easily get excited! Our shoot for Vogue.it was amazing, I think one of my best shoots till date. We have a futuristic, femme fatale theme happening, and the best thing about using agency models is there experience behind the camera just brings almost every shot to life. I don't know any other exciting job than mine- working in fashion has always been on my heart hence why I studied Media and arts from high school. I never thought I will end up engaging in such exciting shoots with talented individuals who all have similar mind sets as I do.
S/S 2012 our team aim to do lots of amazing shoots- as always. I will keep you all updated.

Agata Preyss (photographer)- taking that money shot!

I don't actually know any other talented European Hair designer than Kasia! I love her!

Makeup-Chanel Boateng, Hair Kasia Fortuna (Radiant Hair Salon)

This is our other Premier model- so humble and down to earth- and she can model!

Haha, Agata is now a makeup artist!! She said 'she felt good' putting make up on a model!

This is nothing- wait until you see the edited versions...

Futuristic shoots- all Styling by Erica Matthews
