Trust Issues

SHOP THE POST

First perhaps we can talk about the outfit, nothing special but recently, I have had quite a few gifted items that I just wanted to put together. I have many types of style but typically, some skinny jeans and pointed heels is what I like to rock if I feel like looking casual yet sophisticated.

Now lets talk about Trust Issues. We all have them, and I am not surprised as I am sure a lot of us have been disappointed by many people at some point our lives. But what about trust for ourselves?
A lot of the time we think we are just not good enough. In fact, even now, I can catch myself comparing myself to others and assume the effort I put in is not good enough. So I find myself always trying to look for better or alternative ways to catch up. I believe in improvement of course, but what I believe we must all learn is to not think our efforts are in vein. No we are not always right, but we are not always wrong neither. Most of the time, our assumptions of ourselves is that we cannot get it ''right''. Lets not forget, our version of wrong may be right to someone else and vice verser.

As a woman, I think it is important to learn to become our own best friend and trust ourselves. Discipline plays a key role, if we can discipline ourselves, trusting our own instincts and intuition becomes so much easier. Following our hearts becomes so much more easier. And essentially as a woman you become a power house with so much dignity... knowing your every move is the good and best move for you.

Trusting others is a different story however... The thing is, most people are battling their own personal trust issues with themselves so to put 100% trust in somebody is not the smartest move. However, I believe God puts some people in our lives to hold our hands and lead us into a destination that sometimes we may be too scared to go, because of our lack of trust. If you trust yourself, then if someone leads you and you are unsure wether to trust them, at least you trust yourself enough to know wether you are in a danger zone!
I am learning to not hold back too much when having to trust someone, and therefore in a lot of cases, I put in at least 50% of trust for others, leaving me with my heart to tell me the rest.
The key thing is, to get what you need and what is good for you.

There are many back biters, liars and thieves. Bottom line is not everyone you can trust, but I do not see anything wrong with putting a lot of trust in yourself if your path is well disciplined and put in order. Avoid the messy ride of pain and hurt from others by trusting yourself first.

Clutch down, first gear! | Lust List

And we're off!
This is indeed the season to me jolly, as Christmas is a few weeks away, we are all preparing for the festivities which include parties, gatherings and all. Todays's lust list are by hot picks and we are looking at clutch bags. What inspired me to do this post is actually a recent post on my YouTube channel which was a collaboration with Asos.com, they kindly sent me a few pieces including the most beautiful clutch bags, I also had some clutch bags sent to me from Boohoo and of course, picked up a few for myself on the high street from places such as Primark and River Island.
I have a lot of clothes and bags, however, clutch bags is what I am currently building and these new finds are definitely on my hit list!!

This jacket is a personal favourite from the 90s, that alongside the great puffer jacket. I remember it had that infamous orange lining and you could get them in all colours of the rainbow!
Today the most common colours are navy and that of this olive/ army green shade.

Your Instinct will tell you! | Motivation

                                                                           SHOP THE POST

My loves, I feel it is only right to write how I feel at a certain time in a post. Right now I am feeling so inspired to touch on a subject that sometimes even now I get confused with.

What is your instinct?
In my personal explanation, its like that inner voice, or even the Holy Spirit telling us the core truth over a situation or a feeling we may have. A lot of us have been hurt in our lives, if not by somebody, but at least been disappointed by a situation in which has made it difficult for us to trust.
The truth is, if we have trust issues over everything, in most cases we would never learn how to trust ourselves.
I would be 28 in less than 2 months, I am still quite young, I have just one child and I have lost a couple, I am married and I plan to grow more in life to become a better woman than I am today. In many cases, I thank wisdom and age as it has prepared me to confront so many situations that leave me facing the truth and wether I should follow my instincts.

I am such a sensitive person. In a lot of times it has worked against me, but at the same time it has worked well in my favour. Being sensitive allows me to look deep into a situation or even a person and know wether it is for me or not. This is what I am talking about in regards to letting your instinct tell you. Your instinct will tell you, sign that contract or not, your instinct will tell you, go out to that party or not. If I can count the number or times my instinct has told me to not trust something and later on, seen the outcome IF I trusted it and how it could have led to my downfall!
Now, don't get me wrong, sometimes, I have followed the wrong voice, and have suffered major regrets after, but there is nothing that I have never learnt from.

I have had opportunities come my way.... sign that contract, do this collaboration, work with this person, go here, go there, and although in many cases I like to test the waters, as I have developed myself and my brand, I no my limits and I know IF ONLY, I listened to the wrong voice, my progression would not have led to my success. Your instinct would tell you wether you are about to miss an opportunity or not. It all starts from knowing who YOU are and what YOU want.
I don't mean to sound at all proud... but I know my worth. I know what I have worked for, I have high standards and expectations, and the least thing I want to do, is sell myself cheap.
I am valuable. One of a kind. Unique and admirable. With all of these qualities in yourself, the least thing you need to learn to do is understand your instincts.
I like to walk, I do not need to run. And at a given opportunity if I need to be a cheetah, I will! Your instinct will even tell you if a certain opportunity is going to be your last. An example is my husband. He came quick, and could have left quickly. A few men approached me before he came, but... they just weren't right. As soon as Ambrose came into my life, I knew if I didn't act quickly, he would have been gone, and it would have been another long rollercoaster to find someone like him.

My journey to growing Chanel Boateng is also a prime example of my instincts constantly at work. Sometimes I would film an entire video perhaps 'ranting' or speaking on a subject that perhaps is controversial, then taking it to edit, and then that voice tells me, this is not a good idea! And I delete the file and carry on with my normal makeup videos! I have had certain people ask me for collaborations, we would even make a date for it, and then something gets in the way, and I back out. I look back and say... if ONLY I stepped into it... who would I be now? Where would this brand be... I have had a few management firms approach.. Chanel sign this contract... and of course, its always enticing... but then, I back down. And this is not giving up or refusing to commit to things.. its honestly just being wise in my decisions and understand whats right for me. Many many MANY brands have approached me, offering me free things, money, brand ambassador position and then... I refuse. As I said before, I like to walk, I do not need to run! Not everything you take, not everything you have to give into. What is right for YOU, who are YOU?

Throughout my journey also, God always would put the right people in my direction. Many are even from this blogging community... and of course, there are also those who come to your path with bad intentions. Be vigilant, watch closely. Who has got the better thing to offer, who wants to steal from you. It is unfortunately dog eat dog in this world, have your eyes open. I never like to say trust no one... there definitely are some people you can trust... its just that you got to have the understanding of your instinct to know wether you can trust them or not. More importantly, learn how to trust.

Give some, keep some

Its not all you keep, but then again its not all you give...

Over the past few months, I have met so many different types of people and had so many different types of conversions with either complete strangers, acquaintances, first time seeing, greeting and meeting and people with all different types of perspectives, views, opinions, lifestyles and principles.
It is an interesting world we live in, and honestly at aged 27- almost 28! I feel that it has just hit me! It just hit me just from communicating through all different types of forms and measures.

These last few months has revealed to me the true art of communication and wether it has been on the telephone, email, social media, face to face, whatsapp, snapchat, comments on my channel, instagram, or whatever, I have been able to collect a piece of something each time and calculate and analyse for myself a reasonable understand of the message being conveyed, and you know what, it has made an impact on myself and my perspectives towards the many different types of people walking this earth.
Most of all, I have decided through my recent engagements to just respect. I have also learnt how to understand, reason, speak when to and when to not speak, what to take in, what to believe or what not to believe, who to trust and who not to trust. I have learnt how to be analytical in most areas, learnt when I am right and when I am wrong and when to confront and when not too.
I have understood the desire of some people and learnt when to share my knowledge and even when not too.... Its not everything you share, and even when sharing, you have to be decisive on who to share with, and be selective of what you can share!

The thing with me right now, especially through the many conversations I have had especially over the last few weeks is that, I believe there is something brilliant about everyone. No matter who you are, there is an element of potential in each and every human walking this earth, despite how ratchet, middle class, poor, snobby, bitchy, rude, chavvy anyone is, I believe there is this, hmmmm, almost SUPERNATURAL ability in everyone that can make a huge impact.
Through my observations, I have had to ask myself, wow, there are all these aspects in one human being and therefore out of all the hundreds of human beings I have met in this one month alone, what can I do to pull them up, pull them out, or pull them together?! Surely, I can even offer my Uber Driver some sort of blessing, advice or message that can translate to him to bring 'something' out of him, and that 'something' can also be a blessing on me!
See this can work both ways! Stop being selfish! Many times I am sure we can see that special 'something' in someone else, and yet it can be so hard to give because perhaps we may have trust issues, or perhaps we can see someone can become greater and because we want to be the only great ones, we keep ALL to ourself!
Now, don't get me wrong, I think you will be very stupid to give all... You are a blessed person if you do, because I believe in someway, you will be rewarded. However, I feel there should be a huge balance. How much 'should' you give. I say, give a lot, BUT take the majority. Thats not being selfish its called being Wise! Give a person what you know they can handle, because sometimes you can give too much, the person would not even know what to do with it and that my friend, is not good for their self growth. I believe in steady pace, patience and humility.

I hope this message has blessed you today have a blessed day
