Anxiety.

I recently posted on my YouTube channel a video regarding an issue many of us have encountered in the past or are currently going through. The video posted: Anxiety' was candid, open and very much impromptu. I was definitely due to make a video on something uplifting and inspiring as I aim to bring positivity to my channel, however in this case, my thoughts all the way to Brussels was exactly what I addressed within this video.

Anxiety is a mental issue which effects so many of us, I would imagine it is mostly exposed to us here in the Western world because we are constantly confronted by what a certain 'standard' is. Anxiety is being constantly paranoid of what you or others think of you, your lifestyle and your actions. It is a constant worry and fear that can often result in either a panic attack or a massive state of disbelief in one's self.
This year has been quite eventful, in a lot of our personal lives as well as of course within the media, social media and beyond. All in which can definitely have a lot of us feeling a position of despair and even sometimes confusion. My world is changing daily, In fact, I am so astonished at who I have become today... as a woman, growing into who God wants me to be, I learn new things everyday. Its interesting that once a upon a time, I did not know what I wanted out of my life, I had no desire to get married or have a child, and for a while, I was confused on what career path I wanted to take. Through many trials and tribulations I have encountered along my journey however, the desire to want what I have or working towards now is greatly appreciated.

What makes us anxious?
For the most part, it may perhaps be ourselves. I can catch myself comparing myself to others, but it depends what I am comparing. In aspects of my career and goals, thankfully, I do not compare myself hastily to others, as I personally am intrigued by seeing how different people develop and grow in their individual journeys, and other people excelling is something I am inspired by. To cut a long story short, I am not a 'hater' lol, nor the jealous type but actually love to see people work there way up. But I know for many, it may not even be enviousness that causes the anxious feeling, but it possibly is the feeling of comparison if you are a competitive type of person that can make you feel anxious. I feel my comparison to others comes from, how I am doing as a 'woman' if that makes sense. Am I a good mother, wife, or even a friend. Its easy to look  at other women and look at your self and 'question' if you are doing ok or not... I then have a large sense of worry, and constantly condemn myself for not doing it to the best standard or expectation.

Our fear of not doing it correctly put us in an anxious state or panic mode. There is also the fear of missing out or running out of time. The fear of the unknown, thinking what people are gossiping about you, or if they have false information about you that you just wish you could correct! A massive anxiety episode for me also is walking into a room full of people and thinking everyone is judging you or thinking negative thoughts of you.

I know this is Monday motivation, so hopefully I can encourage you by letting you know that, whatever your anxiety, you are not alone. There are many people who have anxious tendencies due to so much happening in their life. Hang in there and do something positive with yourself to beat the feeling of discontentment, fear and anxiousness. You are much bigger and better than whatever wants to way you down.

  2. You are not alone. I am a Christian who has experienced anxiety and panic attacks. I have learned that God I gracious and the Bible says:

Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

    Bless,
